Market researchers are always on
the lookout for new products and services. That most likely means that
aromatherapy used only as a means of scenting the home may not survive. Once
again everyone will want to have the air they breathe smell good. All products
have a life-cycle that is carefully looked at by the marketers. That means
there is surely going to be new products out there for spicing up the aroma of
our homes. Since true essential oils are not generally used for these purposes,
any demise won’t affect valid aromatherapy.
For now at least shops, spas,
large retail chains, boutiques, and websites are all doing well in the
so-called aromatherapy arena. Beauty has been big business since its inception
and will always attract a large clientele. Cosmetic and perfume companies are
sure to continue to be profitable, but those who sell pure essential oils will
most likely continue to cater to a niche market. This market will grow as more
people become tired of traditional medical treatment, its chemicals, expense,
and lack of insurance coverage, but may never rival the likes of corporate
chains.
The Internet has had an amazing
effect on all of our lives. We keep hearing statements such as the “world is getting
smaller” and it’s true with such wired and wireless access to people all over
the world.
We can learn all sorts of new things on any subject we want and
communicate with friends, relatives, and co-workers with the click of a mouse.
Much of what we see out there on the web must be taken with a grain of salt,
and the same is true of information on aromatherapy and essential oils. When a
number of sites have the same information and it doesn’t sound too far-fetched
to believe, then it is probably valid. In researching this topic we have tried
to find only factual data by looking for it in more than one place.
With all the bad press that synthetically made candles
are getting, their futures may not bode well. On the other
hand many people see such claims about things like soot and wax as being only
hysterical reactions by environmentalists. It’s difficult to say what will
happen in the candle industry, but people will always use them. Hopefully they
will do so with common sense and safety first. We encourage you to buy only
vegetable based candles with safe wicks. You may even consider making some of
your own to ensure quality and purity, as well as have a great time. It would
be a good place to get those creative juices flowing.
