Hear are a few aromatherapy recipes to help protect your precious pets
from those tiny but vicious invaders:
˝ cup unscented pet shampoo
˝ teaspoon orange
Application:
Mix the two ingredients. Be sure to lather your pet very
well. The shampoo will carry the oil, and the more suds you generate, the more
fleas you will trap. Fleas like the head area, so do that
last and do it well. When you’re washing the face, be careful around the eyes,
nose, and mouth. If you prefer, you might consider using unscented baby or
adult shampoo. The kind that doesn’t sting the eyes would be much appreciated.
Cedarwood Spray
1 cup water
20 drops cedarwood
Application:
Mix the ingredients and spray. Since oil and water don’t mix
well, you’ll have to keep shaking as you spray.
10 drops pennyroyal
5 drops citronella
5 drops eucalyptus
5 drops cedarwood
Soft cotton rope
Application:
Combine all the oils. Make a thin line of the oil mixture on
the cotton rope and let it dry. The rope should fit comfortably around his neck
but not be so loose that he could catch on something. It should work for at
least a week, maybe even two.
